French Classes
Hastings Girls High School have requested that we wait for alert level 1 before recommencing French lessons in their classrooms, however this is being reassessed regularly. In the interim the free Zoom lessons continue for our students.

A message from the president
Whilst the lack of physical interaction over the past 2 months has been difficult, it has been an absolute highlight to see so many members embrace technology and attend the virtual activities held, including Soirée de Conversation, café croissant, Fanny’s virtuel Restaurant Reunion, French lessons and the virtual Cine Club!
In 2 months over Zoom we have hosted 300+ attendees, engaged with over 2/3 of our members and gained several new members along the way! But this has not been without additional organisation and I would like to extend a special thanks to James Donaldson for his work in facilitating many of the events, Fanny Hoareau for the cooking classes and our French teachers for engaging with students in different ways.

Ciné-Club and Soirées de conversation
Events Cinema (our Cine Club location) has not yet reopened. Also, due to the social distancing restrictions only recently having eased, our Soirée de Conversation nights have not yet been booked in. However, we anticipate that both activities will recommence shortly and expect that we can provide an update in the next newsletter.
How does Zoom work? |

You then need to select “Join with Computer Audio” To activate your video camera you will need to click on the “Start Video” button on the bottom left so it no longer has a red line through it. Make sure your sound is on…et voilà! Any queries to James Donaldson our social media coordinator Email directly to: jkdonaldson@yahoo.co.nz |
