Café-Croissant will be on Saturday 7 September. We will be meeting at 9:30am at Elicious Eatery, Clive Square West, Napier. There is good parking in the middle of town.
It's a great opportunity for breakfast and chat in French, Frenglish or French. There will be a French speaking part of the table avec un petit drapeau français! September's film
September we have a film agricole - farm adventure We start each Ciné-Club in the cinema entry foyer from 6:00pm. We will be serving $5 glasses of Beach House wine and complimentary bread and cheese. The film starts at 6:30pm and supper is available afterwards at Pipi's café (please note on your registration if interested) Tuesday 10th September Event Cinemas, Havelock North. Dairy and livestock prices have plummeted due to a flood of imports, and farmers are threatened with foreclosure. Mayor Georges Balbuzard (François Cluzet, The Intouchables) does his best to fight and raise awareness of their plight, but the situation isn’t deemed newsworthy for national media. Things seem hopeless... until the day famous American photographer Newman (Toby Jones, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) passes through the village, inadvertently discovering the perfect backdrop for his next shoot. We are trialling the Civic Theatre, Waipukurau for running our Ciné-Club in Central Hawke's Bay.
There will be two screenings over two consecutive Sundays at 2:00pm! Sunday 25 August - A Great Friend(2022) and Sunday 1st September - Country Cabaret(2022) Tickets $12 Adults; $10 OAP's and $7 children. Tickets only for sale on the day. |
