Café-Croissant will be on Saturday 7 June. We will be meeting at 9:30am at No.5 Cafe & Larder, SH51 Hastings . There is plenty of space to park.
It's a great opportunity for breakfast and chat in French, Frenglish or French. There will be a French speaking part of the table avec un petit drapeau français! 11 - 29 June
This year's French Film Festival will be in two Hawke's Bay locations: one at Focal Point Cinema, Havelock North and the other at Globe Theatrette in Napier. As with other festival, we are after volunteers to assist with distributing FFF Aotearoa pamphlets to cafes in either Napier, Hastings or Havelock North. Please e-mail Ian if you are available to assist. |
Opening Night Gala - 11 June
11 June will be Opening Night and the venue is at Focal Point Cinema in Havelock North with the Gala event starting at 6:00pm and the film screening at 7:00pm. Fun guaranteed! There are still about 25 tickets available for Monsieur Aznavour directly from Focal Point Cinema. They are still just $38 and include the pre-film Gala event. So why not join us? |

July's film
This month's film is based on a true story of a women wanting to become a conductor. We start each Ciné-Club in the cinema entry foyer from 6:00pm. Focal Point will be selling $10 glasses of wine and providing complimentary bread and cheese. The film starts at 6:30pm and supper is available afterwards at Pipi's café (please note on your registration if interested) Tuesday 8 July, Focal Point Cinema, Havelock North. Cost: $10 for 2025 members, $15 for non-members Divertimento(2024) PG 114 minutes Drama French with English subtitles Based on a true life story! A vos agendas! Mark in your diary Monday 14 July 6:30pm for our annual French celebration Fête Nationale. We are again at Valley D'Vine and we will be providing complimentary buses from central Havelock North, Hastings and Napier to and from the venue. The cost for 3 courses with matching wines and dessert is $90 for Members and $105 for non-members.
