Hygge Cafe
Clifton Bay Once again we’ll return to the popular Hygge cafe in Clifton Bay. A good opportunity to catch up with friends in the New Year. Learning French in 2020 – classes commence 13 February at 6:00pm
Are you thinking about learning or brushing up on your French? AFHB has 5 wonderful teachers, friendly /supportive classes, 4 different levels plus a beginner class commencing 13 February 2020. The lessons will be in the Travers Centre, at Hastings Girls High School, Pakowhai Road, There is a small car park in front of the Travers Centre, where you can park. When going north from Stortford Lodge on Pakowhai Road, take the first entrance (stone wall and name of the school on the wall) and then sharp left before the office. Visiting French Naval Vessel d'Entrecasteaux
1 hour visits Saturday 1 February,
The d'Entrecasteaux is a French Navy support and assistance vessel, based in Noumea, New Caledonia. It has 24 crew members and is in Napier for 6 days from 31 January to 5 February. The captain has allocated the association some slots for 1 hour ship visits on Saturday 1st February. If you, family or friends are interested please email details to Ian who is coordinating the visits. RSVP by Sunday 26 January |
Gatsby Picnic 23 Feb, from 1pm
Join us in the AFHB French-themed gazebo on the lawn at the Art Deco Gatsby picnic! We will be positioned on the main lawn between the Tom Parker Fountain and the Napier Sound Shell. Dress Art Deco with a touch of French flair and bring some food or drink to share. This is a not to be missed activity!
