Creative Arts Napier (CAN) is holding a major exhibition of modern artist and printmaker Françoise Gilot. At 100 years of age, Gilot’s artistic career spans an unparalleled 80 years and her innovative printed works, especially her pioneering experimentation with colour lithography, are a tour-de-force in modern art printmaking. She is well known as Pablo Picasso’s partner of ten years, his muse and mother of two of his children.
This is the largest collection of Gilot’s artwork ever exhibited in the Southern Hemisphere! Ian Hollway represented the Association at the exhibition opening and encourages our members to take advantage of viewing this collection. 22 April - 12 May: Creative Arts Napier, 16 Byron Street, Napier |
